Tile Roof Repairs & Re-Roofing |
| These days roof tiles come in a large variety
of sizes, shapes and colours. Both concrete tiles and terracotta
tiles can be an affordable roofing solution and when correctly
installed should last in excess of 50 years. Prices vary according
to the type of tile required and can also vary with the colour
chosen. All-Dry Roofing replaces original tile roofs that are
beyond the point of repair with new tile roofs in terracotta
or concrete. As a concrete tile roof is substantially heavier
than a terracotta roof, strengthening of timber rafters may
need to be performed if replacing terracotta with concrete.
All-Dry Roofing also carries out repairs to tile roofs and
has successfully repaired hundreds of tile roofs in Sydney
and extended their life span through replacing only what was
needed. |

Annandale Private Residence |
| The original tile roof
was at the end of its useful life with the tiles having
become very brittle and easily breaking. The original
metal valleys on the roof had rusted badly and the cappings
had crumbling mortar and were very loose. The roof was
replaced with new battens and sarking, new Wunderlich
terracotta tiles and cappings, and new Colorbond valleys.
The cappings were pointed using colour-matching flexipoint
to give them a uniform colour. The chimney was supplied
with new lead flashings on the sides. The skylights and
skytubes were retained and the new tiles installed and
flashed around them. |
